Job description

Job Title: Lead UI/UX Engineer – Enterprise Data Platform (Angular)

Location: Charlotte, NC preferred (remote considered)
Employment Type: 6-month+ with possibility of conversion
Travel: Limited travel to Charlotte for planning sessions, whiteboarding workshops, stakeholder meetings, and product roadmap discussions (expected a few times per year)

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly collaborative, hands-on Lead UI/UX Engineer to lead the design and front-end development of theirEnterprise Data Platform. This role blends enterprise UX strategy, product thinking, and Angular engineering to build data stewardship applications from the ground up as part of a greenfield enterprise initiative. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Data Stewards, Engineering Leaders, and business stakeholders to design intuitive workflows and deliver scalable applications that help users interact with critical enterprise data.

Required Skills
  • 6+ years of experience designing and building enterprise web applications.
  • Advanced experience with Angular and strong expertise in TypeScript.
  • Strong HTML5, CSS, and modern front-end engineering skills.
  • Experience with Angular Material.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and OData services.
  • Experience designing scalable front-end architectures.
  • Experience implementing OAuth/OAuth2 authentication frameworks.
  • Experience with enterprise state management (e.g., NgRx, Redux, or Signals).
  • Experience with AG Grid Enterprise (or other advanced enterprise data-grid solutions).
  • Demonstrated UI/UX capability including wireframes, prototypes, and user-centered design.
  • Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and responsive design best practices.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate directly with business users and stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance business needs, technical constraints, and user experience requirements.
Nice to Have Skills
  • OData v4 experience.
  • Master Data Management (MDM) experience.
