A Junior Product Developer typically needs a background in product design, basic project management, and knowledge of market research, often supported by a relevant degree in engineering, design, or business. Familiarity with prototyping tools, CAD software, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems is commonly required. Strong communication, creativity, and problem-solving abilities help individuals excel in team settings and adapt to evolving project needs. These competencies ensure the successful development and launch of products that meet user needs and business objectives.

Junior Product Developers often find that moving from academic or personal projects to professional product development involves adapting to stricter timelines, cross-functional teamwork, and the need to balance creativity with practical constraints such as budget and customer requirements. Developing strong communication skills and being open to feedback are crucial for overcoming these challenges and growing in the role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of what makes a product high-quality, functional, and appealing to today's consumer. This person should be highly detail-oriented, with the ability to spot subtle differences in samples and ensure each product meets both brand standards and customer expectations.

  • Spot subtle differences in samples and flag quality concerns early

  • Follow up on open items and ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Support handoff from development to production with clear, organized documentation

  • You are a strong communicator-clear, timely, and professional with both internal teams and external suppliers
  • You are eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced product development environment
  • You are reliable and follow through on tasks, keeping projects moving forward
  • You have a genuine interest in consumer products and what makes a product stand out in the market

Qualifications
