What You'll Do:
AT&T is seeking an experienced product development professional to lead research, design, testing, and delivery of innovative network technologies. This role translates business objectives and customer needs into scalable, market-competitive product solutions.
  • Lead product development: Manage the product lifecycle from concept through launch, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, quality standards, market needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Validate network technologies: Lead research, design, testing, and development for residential and business gateways, Wi-Fi extenders, firmware workflows, production environments, end-to-end validation, and controlled tester groups.
  • Assess technical performance: Evaluate security, port, and network configurations while using scripted scans and collected data to identify defects, missed requirements, and issue criticality.
  • Provide technical oversight: Ensure product designs are feasible, functional, scalable, and supported by rigorous testing and quality assurance processes. • Collaborate across teams: Partner with labs, field technicians, development, supply chain, marketing, sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to support product delivery, defect resolution, documentation, and reporting.
  • Conduct market and technology research: Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products to inform development strategies and translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Support customer engagement: Gather customer feedback, understand user needs, and incorporate insights into continuous product improvement.

Team Responsibilities
  • Build and manage tools and processes that keep more than 14 million residential gateways operating smoothly, current with firmware updates, and enabled with enhanced features.
  • Support high-quality Wi-Fi experiences for fiber and mobility-based internet customers.
  • Operate systems that collect and analyze approximately 100 TB of data daily to identify firmware defects, transient errors, and unexplained device behavior.
  • Partner with software development teams to determine root cause, build fixes, and validate solutions.
  • Plan and execute safe firmware rollout strategies across target device populations to reduce the risk of customer-impacting issues or outages.
  • Contribute to revenue growth, cost savings, and enhanced products and services for AT&T subscribers.
  • Advance automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve testing effectiveness and operational efficiency.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science/Analytics, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of fiber and mobility internet service installation and ordering processes.
  • Experience with network technology, firmware validation, data analysis, automation, quality assurance, or related product development activities preferred.
