What does a Planner Scheduler do?

A Planner Scheduler is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and scheduling various tasks or projects to ensure they are completed efficiently and on time. They create detailed work schedules, allocate resources, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed to avoid delays. A planner scheduler implements work schedules for both staff and equipment in an industrial or construction setting. As a planner scheduler, your responsibilities include examining plans for a project and developing a workable schedule, as well as making recommendations on existing schedules to increase productivity, decrease cost, and balance the workload. The job goes beyond simply deciding who goes where when. You are responsible for making sure the schedule meets government safety regulations, as well as labor agreements.
