Job description

EMI is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Scheduler for our NW Houston facility. The Scheduler develops and manages comprehensive schedules for production, projects, or operations. This role works closely with operations, procurement, production, inventory, and management teams to balance customer demand, resource availability, and organizational priorities.


Key Responsibilities:

 Develop and maintain master schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and operational capacity.

  • Monitor schedule performance and make adjustments to address delays, shortages, or changing priorities.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, inventory, logistics, and project teams to ensure timely execution.
  • Analyze capacity, resource utilization, and workflow constraints.
  • Track progress against schedules and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Identify scheduling risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling data within ERP, MRP, or project management systems.
  • Support demand planning and inventory management activities.
  • Generate reports and performance metrics related to schedule adherence and productivity.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize planning and scheduling processes.
  • Ensure departmental communications for improved coordination of productive operations
  • Collaborate with Project Managers for updates on delivery timelines
  • Other Duties as Assigned


Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or Operations Management preferred
  • Five (5) plus years’ experience in production planning, scheduling, project management in a manufacturing environment
  • APICS Certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) preferred
  • PMP Certification a preferred
  • Proficient with ERP/MRP systems
  • Sage 50 experience a plus
