Job description

About the role: The electrical outage planner role is onsite in Bridgman, MI. It is to support ongoing outage planning and will report directly to a client supervisor. It is a long-term contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Onsite Worker
  • Plan work tasks daily using client approved software and procedures.
  • Conduct field walk downs to provide input for refining and improving work package quality.
  • Collaborate with peer planners/vendor/craft supervisor, work management, operations and engineering to resolve work package issues.
  • Select for purchase or make procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution.
  • Submit Engineer Requests for parts equivalencies/review engineering changes.
  • Create Work Breakdown Structures, for craft to complete field work, identify all support tasks needed, i.e. scaffolding, determ/reterm, remove interferences.
  • Review engineering changes to facilitate and enhance work package development, Maintain compliance with codes, standards, vendor recommendation and maintenance direction.
  • Support and participate in outage schedule rotation.
  • Plan to meet outage milestone commitments.
  • Plan to AP-930 standards
  • Use computer programs such as, Action Way (Corrective Action Program), Documentum, and Maximo.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years' experience in Nuclear maintenance in areas such as mechanical, electrical or instrumentation and controls.
  • Previous experience using Maximo, or related work management program.
  • Understand drawings.
  • Communicate both written and verbally.
  • Self-starter attitude, willingness to learn, strong note taker.
  • Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
