Job Description Summary
The Production Control Scheduler is responsible for optimal planning and scheduling for our Manufacturing teams. Daily in depth communication with other departments to inform of issues and acquire necessary information to schedule accurately and efficiently.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Follows scheduling policies and procedures, and directs scheduling programs accordingly.
  • Coordinates with Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing Departments to ensure all shipping deadlines are met.
  • Seeks out alternative and innovative solutions to unforeseen circumstances to help in the continued flow of production and other facets of the company.
  • Provides proper and timely feedback to Customer Service regarding premium orders, possible delays to equipment, etc.
  • Helps resolve problems relating to shortages, variances, or other impediments to smooth material flow through the factory.
  • Ensures work orders are planned, released, completed and closed in a timely manner.
  • Ensures weekly production schedules are in alignment with the company's production plan and customer requested ship dates.
  • Works with Production on scheduling adjustments.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
An individual in this position must have the following minimum required qualifications.
  • High School Diploma and 2 years' experience in in the HVAC or a similar industry
  • Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Communicates effectively, both verbal and written, with team members and management to achieve department/company goals
  • Exhibits good decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities, project management skills, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn various other computer systems and software
  • Works with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrates the motivation to cross-train in other functions and increase overall knowledge

Additional Job Description
Physical Demands:
In order to perform the essential functions of the job, the employee must be able to:
  • Remain in a stationary position (primarily standing) for 95% of the time
  • Move parts, tools and other objects weighing up to 50 pounds in all directions
  • Traverse the manufacturing facility to accomplish tasks
  • Communicate with others to exchange accurate information
  • Observe/assess the accuracy and quality of the work assigned (frequently including detecting color)

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in a manufacturing facility and periodically be exposed to:
  • Humidity, loud noises, dirt, chemical fumes
  • Varying and extreme temperatures (heat and cold)
  • Sheet Metal
  • Mechanical parts
  • Forklift traffic
