Responsibilities
Capacity Planning Analysts play a critical role in ensuring our North American Manufacturing plants have the necessary supply base capacity to meet current and future market demand. This position involves detailed data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with various skill teams, to identify potential capacity constraints and recommend actionable solutions. The analyst will be responsible for authoring volumes across platforms, reporting capacity, and leading initiatives, to align plant capabilities in the now, near and far time horizon.
What you'll do...
  • Demand vs Capacity Planning and Review: Conduct Demand vs. Supply Base Capacity Assessments as needed to ensure supply base capacity is aligned with demand signals, included Monthly Production Programs, bi-annual Financial Planning Volume (FPV) data sets, and ad hoc what-if scenarios, includes informal demand analyses and regular updates of Volume One-Pagers.
  • Execute Powertrain Supply Base Confirm Capacity Studies: Funded studies in support of new vehicle program and/or new powertrain capacity requirements or production volume increase/remix initiatives. Includes upfront study development, study creation and execution, and post- study support for purchasing vetting activity.
  • Execute What-If Study and/or Desktop Analysis Scenarios: Support vehicle program initiatives and/or engineering changes. Includes upfront study development, study creation and execution, and post- study support for purchasing vetting activity.
  • Support Powertrain Program PA Volume Development: Use FPV demand, carryover supply base capacity, and powertrain plant production capacity signals to help Forward Model Capacity Purchasing develop PA volumes for upcoming powertrain programs
  • Support Purchasing with Capacity Requirement Data requests: Create analysis of capacity vs demand data for supplier clarification.
  • Support Powertrain Schedulers with Supply Base Capacity Data: Maintain Supplier Capacity Analysis Tool with supplier capabilities and communicate with powertrain all possible constraints.
  • Vehicle Capacity Planning Study Supportability Analyses: Complete and review Vehicle Capacity Planning Study Powertrain Supportability files aligned with Vehicle Capacity studies and non-study Blended Rate Report Updates.
  • Support Capacity Planning Action Team Operations (CPAT): Lead CPAT agendas and formal post-study next steps. Liaison and collaborate with cross functional departments to resolve issues.

Qualifications
You'll have...
  • Bachelor's Degree or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
  • 1+ years of experience in Supply Chain & Logistics or Capacity Planning or Manufacturing
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Strong Excel Skills)
  • Experience with Power BI, tableau, etc...
  • Data mining experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Strong Excel Skills)
  • An understanding of the business practices and systems impacting volumes (WERS/PDL/iERP) is preferred.
  • Product/Consumer Marketing, MP&L, Pre-Production, Purchasing and/or PD Project Management experience is desirable.
  • Strong leadership behaviors, with a systemic process-oriented mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and facilitate discussions amongst cross-functional teams

This position is a salary grade 6 and ranges from $74,300-$124,500.
This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
