Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Planning Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the production scheduling function, ensuring schedules are accurate, achievable, and aligned with operational priorities. This role directly supervises a team of Planning Schedulers and is accountable for schedule execution, adherence, and performance across the production cycle.
The Planning Scheduling Supervisor establishes priorities, resolves conflicts, escalates risks, and ensures consistent application of scheduling standards to meet customer delivery, production efficiency, and financial objectives.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning and scheduling
  • Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of production workflows, capacity planning, and material availability
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Strong decision-making, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, changing manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and manage cross-functional expectations
  • Proven ability to leverage complex data analytics to optimize production scheduling, identify capacity constraints, and drive continuous operational improvements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise, coach, and support a team of Schedulers, including training, workload distribution, and performance feedback
  • Set daily and weekly priorities to ensure schedules align with production capacity, material availability, and customer requirements
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs and SLAs related to schedule adherence, on-time delivery, and throughput
  • Ensure consistent application of scheduling standards, processes, and system usage across the team
  • Make final scheduling decisions when priorities conflict due to capacity, material shortages, or customer demand
  • Ensure timely integration of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) into production schedules
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Procurement, Warehouse, and Customer Service leadership to align priorities
  • Review scheduling reports and production metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Drive corrective actions to address schedule variance, delays, or recurring production issues
  • Ensure accurate and timely system transactions in Oracle Fusion related to scheduling and work orders
  • Develop and maintain visual tools and dashboards to provide leadership visibility into schedule status
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Perform other duties consistent with the supervisory nature of the role and departmental objectives

PHYSICAL AND COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
  • Category #4: Team member is required to be on-site to perform their work. The team member must live within a reasonable driving distance of a FLEXcon NE Facility. This position does not require business travel.
  • Driving while on company business is not required for this role.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned.
