Status: Regular Full Time Position - Exempt/Salary

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Production Planning Manager to lead GrayWolf Modular's master scheduling and production planning function across a fast-moving engineered-to-order manufacturing environment. The Production Planning Manager will create the planning discipline that aligns engineering, supply chain, warehouse, production, and project teams around one visible operating plan.

Core Responsibilities:

โ€ข Own the master production schedule and planning rhythm that turns booked work into realistic factory execution.

โ€ข Translate customer commitments, engineering release dates, long-lead buys, and labor capacity into a visible and controlled plan.

โ€ข Drive work-order release, shortage management, kitting readiness, and sequencing discipline across the factory.

โ€ข Build planning dashboards and KPIs around schedule adherence, open shortages, WIP age, constraint visibility, and output forecast.

โ€ข Lead recovery planning when material, engineering, or labor issues threaten key milestones.

โ€ข Partner tightly with warehouse, supply chain, production, and project management so priorities stay aligned.

โ€ข Improve MRP / ERP transaction discipline that supports clean planning signals and realistic promise dates.

โ€ข Hands-on success translating backlog, engineering release, material availability, and labor constraints into executable factory schedules.

II. Skills & Competencies

Required

โ€ข Strong MRP / ERP discipline with experience driving work-order release, shortage visibility, and schedule recovery planning.

โ€ข Ability to align engineering, supply chain, warehouse, and production around one operating plan.

Preferred

โ€ข Experience with modular data center products, power equipment, cooling systems, skids, or other high-mix industrial assemblies.

โ€ข Lean or continuous-improvement mindset.

III. Education

Required

โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

โ€ข APICS / CPIM or equivalent planning credential is a plus.

IV. Software & Technology

Required

โ€ข Proficiency with ERP / MRP systems, Excel, dashboard reporting tools, and planning systems; experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is a plus.
