Production Control Specialist
Job Overview:
The Production Control Specialist serves as liaison between various departments (production, project management, purchasing, inventory, customer service, quality, etc.), schedules and coordinates work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production: Reviews master production schedule and replacement part orders, establishes priorities for specific orders and revises schedule according to order specifications.
Job Functions:
  • Manage inventory levels for replacement parts reviewing safety stock levels for high runners.
  • Manage and plan for Excess and Obsolete inventory levels
  • Own the process and methodology by which planned purchase and production orders are executed through ERP system (D365)
  • Review Production Plan and Material Status Reports for replacement parts to identify risks and escalate accordingly
  • Communicate directly with purchasing with inventory discrepancy or past due purchase orders impacting customer shipments.
  • Verify inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production; maintain vendor information, vendor part numbers and optimal order quantities through D365 for scheduling production.
  • Assess reliability of suppliers and vendors and identify solutions for ongoing problems
  • Assist Production Control Manager with various reports and tasks from time to time
  • Participate in continuous development of ERP integration processes through company's application system

Travel Requirements:
  • No travel required.

Required Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
  • Must have 2+ years of production control or inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel. Must be able to create and maintain excel spreadsheets with formulas and production data
  • Good written skill and verbal skills. Must have strong customer service
  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
  • Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.
