Newark Manufacturing Company is looking for a Part Time Payroll/Human Resources Assistant

Summary:

Responsible for weekly payroll processing, collaborating with Company HR Business Partner and the Company’s business leaders in the day-to-day HR activities and administration which include answering employee inquiries, tracking and monitoring employee attendance, maintaining employee records and time off balance, and recording and reporting employee related issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll from start to finish (the majority are hourly employees).
  • Report and address employee requests and inquiries about benefits coverage and for any leaves and performance issues.
  • Assist with filling Temporary staffing needs.
  • Assist and support Company business leaders with finance, sales, production, quality, and warehouse with HR related matters.
  • Assist the general services of the Company from manning the front desk and performing clerical activities.
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned by management and HR Business Partner

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience with Payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to demonstrate teamwork and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to achieve common business goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency

Part time: 3-days per week; 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (24-hours/week)
