Job description
Role: Assistant Human Resource Analyst
Employment Type: Temporary
Rate: $50.00/hour
Location: Oakland, CA / On site
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 30, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Â Maintaining electronic filing of sensitive information such as grievance files, discipline packets, and meet and confer documentation
- Tracking in Microsoft Excel and Access the status of work product from Labor Relations, e.g. union requests, grievances, discipline issued, release time requests, meet and confer requests.
- Will be asked to produce summary tables of the status of open and closed matters.
- Compiling and organizing responses to information requests, including retrieving simple reports from electronic databases.
- Scheduling meetings with individuals with a variety of schedules using Microsoft Office Suite
- Coordinating release time requests for meetings with labor unions in accordance with labor contract requirements
- Notetaking using word processing software (Microsoft Word) Documents and seeks to improve administrative and clerical processes to improve the effectiveness of operations
- Uses established templates to prepare documents/correspondence
- 3+ years of related HR experience
- Experience with Labor Relations and Unions
- Requets Strong technical and analytical skills
- Â Experience in government entities preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
