Summary
The Human Resources Assistant Manager will have hands-on work on the Talent Acquisition and Management function at our company. This position would work in the area of workforce planning, job management, talent acquisition, new hire on/off boarding, and HRIS data.

our company is the regional HQ in the US, liaising communication between HQ in Korea and affiliates in the US, providing shared services and consultation to our company’s businesses. The Human Resources Assistant Manager will be working closely with the business leaders and HR leaders within our company, having abundant room to grow and to make a positive impact in employee retention and engagement.

Job Scope and Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the HR Manager in support of the overall HR strategy.

  • Partner with business leaders to anticipate future talent needs, and design optimal organization structure that supports our company’s strategic goal.

  • Develop new approaches, strategies, policies and procedures focused on continual process improvement, enhanced employee retention, improved employee engagement and supportive of divisional and corporate strategic plans.

  • Execute full recruitment cycle from sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, pre-employment testing, ensuring excellent candidate experience, while guiding team leaders and employees on recruiting/staffing policies and procedures.

  • Execute and communicate annual/special promotion; announcing promotion guideline, reviewing requirement, delivering final decisions, and following up with any change occurred from the promotion.

  • Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives, ensuring the job description, job title and FLSA classification, salary level aligns with the assigned work.

  • Administer on-boarding, and conduct exit interviews ensuring positive candidate/employee experience from start to finish. Periodically conduct HR work/system orientation for new HR personnel in affiliates.

  • Manage vendor partnerships and content across all recruiting channels to ensure consistency and alignment of our company brand to engage talent across platforms.

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of HR Records in HRIS (E.g., PeopleSoft, ADP Workforce Now, and ADP Recruiting module.)

  • Liaison between corporate headquarters in Korea and HR leaders in the US affiliates on changes in group policy, setting annual KPI of the organization, and meet periodic reporting requirements.

  • Collaborate with legal team on employees’ legal immigration status (e.g., VISA, PERM) by providing required HR documentation for application and status change.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects as needed to enhance the overall HR function, i.e., HR processes, policies, systems, that impact employee experience and productivity.

  • Establish and maintain department records and reports and assure retention guidelines are followed.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BA Degree in Human Resources or related field required

  • 8+ years in HR experience (Talent Acquisition, HR consultation, HR planning)

  • In-depth understanding of current best practice talent acquisition methodologies, technologies, operations, and regulatory issues

  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws, regulations and requirements related to HR including EEO, Workers’ Comp, Wage and Hour and others

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently and be self-driven

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Handle confidential information with tact, professionalism, and discretion

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Korean-English bilingual preferred
