About Flex HR: Flex HR is a fast-growing HR outsourcing company based in Alpharetta, GA, right outside of Atlanta. We work with companies in a variety of industries to help them manage their human resources and payroll. We are a team of professionals who consistently provide our clients with white-glove customer service. We are looking for a positive, self-motivated, dedicated, skilled, customer-focused, and detail-oriented person to join our team and organization.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategies, practices, and standard operating procedures to enhance organizational effectiveness and drive employee engagement. The HR Manager provides daily customer service and HR operational support to our clients. This position will be the point of contact for the HR department. The HR Manager will provide outstanding service to our clients and serve as a key partner to leadership to ensure that HR initiatives are compliant and aligned with business goals. The HR Manager will be a team-oriented player within our Flex HR team as well as a trusted advisor for employees. The HR Manager will also support activities related to personnel actions, ensuring the availability of collateral materials and files to support activities such as new hire offer letters, on-boarding, terminations, exit interviews, employee relations, conflict resolution, benefits administration, leave of absence management, unemployment/worker’s compensation claims, multi-state compliance and policy development. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help new employees with the onboarding process, providing great employee experience. The current new hire onboarding process includes the following:
  1. Offer letters and other required paperwork
  2. Onboarding through the HRIS/payroll platform or manually
  3. Answering questions about benefits and HR-related items for the company
  4. Management of the complete employee onboarding process from start to finish
  • Help employees with benefit enrollments for specific clients’ employees.
  • Coaching managers on the Performance improvement Plan (PIP) process.
  • Help clients with terminating their employees, including filling out necessary forms by state, separation or severance documents when required, and being a witness to a termination call.
  • Lead quarterly reviews for your clients. Be willing to provide exemplary service for your clients and their employees.
  • Be involved with your clients’ employees, including providing monthly birthday updates and annual anniversary celebrations.
  • Complete periodic audits, monthly benefits reconciliations, and maintain accurate client records.
  • Interact with your clients and offer HR support to employees through virtual office hours.
  • Processing  HSA/FSA requested changes for employees. This includes working with the vendor when requested to make any changes with the banks.
  • Assist new employees or former employees with completion of the appropriate paperwork for 401K rollovers, loans, and distribution requests.
  • Create high quality customer interactions by offering creative solutions which solve customer and agent problems while reducing the customer effort.
  • Take ownership of client and employee issues and present solutions to effectively address all client and employee concerns.
  • Adapt to the specific needs and concerns of clients and employees to build strong relationships for FHR specified business needs.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in all interactions.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments to resolve problems.
  • Maintain a willingness to take on other responsibilities assigned by management.
  • Work in multiple payroll and HRIS platforms.
  • Foster a positive workplace environment through strong communication and conflict resolution.
  • Administer workers' compensation claims and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while developing policies and procedures to reflect best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Human Resources Manager or similar role in a corporate environment, 3-5 years of experience preferably as an HR Manager supporting multiple duties in a similar role, preferably in an outsourced or consulting capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, multi-state compliance, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with HR/payroll systems such as ADP, Paylocity, Paychex, Paycom, Paycor, UKG, Gusto, or Netchex is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.
  • Will demonstrate confidence and ability to handle a wide variety of situations; possess a strong attention to detail with exceptional problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • A minimum of an associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (a plus).
  • Be able to work in a high energy, fast paced environment to provide ease of doing business while delivering high quality and exceptional service.
  • Demonstrate strong discipline to work independently, prioritize and manage workload including balancing the time between calls and processing requests for multiple clients.
  • Hubspot experience is a plus.
