Disney Entertainment (DE) is one of The Walt Disney Company's three core business segments, alongside Sports and Experiences. The segment includes the Company's global, non-sports film, television, and direct-to-consumer content production and distribution businesses across Linear Networks, Direct-to-Consumer streaming services, and Content Sales/Licensing.


The Human Resources Business Partner will partner with HR and business leaders to support the goals of the DE Finance organization. This role requires strong business acumen, HR and organizational development expertise, and consulting skills. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying business needs, shaping talent strategies, and delivering sustainable people solutions that drive organizational effectiveness. The HRBP will also serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on key HR programs and processes, including performance management, talent planning, end of year planning, and change management, with the goal of enhancing employee engagement and business performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support across DE Finance in partnership with the Senior Manager, HRBP, while contributing to broader initiatives within the team's portfolio
  • Serve as the primary HR partner to leaders across supported client groups, including Vice Presidents and Directors, advising on organizational effectiveness, team dynamics, talent matters, and day-to-day HR strategy
  • Coordinate across HR stakeholders to deliver seamless day-to-day and long-term HR support
  • Coach leaders on individual and team performance, development, employee engagement, and workplace concern
  • Lead core talent processes, including performance calibrations, talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and talent assessment
  • Contribute to broader HRBP team and enterprise initiatives, including data analysis, transformation workstreams, talent mobility efforts, and other strategic projects
  • Build strong partnerships with clients at all levels of the organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a People and Culture Business Partner or in a comparable HR role
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to assess business needs and recommend effective HR solutions using data and multiple inputs
  • Experience aligning HR initiatives to broader business and people strategies
  • Proven ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and operate as a credible thought partner
  • Strong ability to use workforce insights and analytics to inform decisions and guide leaders
  • Strong organizational, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience directly supporting client groups in an HRBP or equivalent capacity
  • Must be available to work onsite 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday). Fridays are remote with flexibility to work onsite as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience across multiple HR disciplines, including organizational development, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, and compensation
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed corporate environment
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $115,300 to $140,900 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
