The Local Market Performance & Volume Management team is seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and AI-centric leader to serve as Lead, Market Development.

This team is responsible for helping market leaders achieve volume commitments by developing a deep understanding of performance drivers, identifying growth opportunities, and enabling data-driven action across products, channels, and markets. We provide the visibility, analytics, and decision support necessary to proactively manage performance, prioritize opportunities, and align cross-functional teams around initiatives that drive market-level results.

As an AI-first organization, we expect leaders to leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies to accelerate insight generation, improve decision-making, and enhance organizational effectiveness. Successful candidates will embrace AI as a core component of how work is performed and continuously seek opportunities to improve productivity, scalability, and business impact.

In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of volume performance across Wireless, Fiber, and AIA products and translate analytical findings into actionable market recommendations. You will partner closely with Forecasting, Pricing, Offers, Marketing, Go-to-Market, Finance, and market leadership teams to identify opportunities, evaluate strategic options, prepare markets for execution, and help coordinate deployment plans that improve attainment and overall business performance.

This position requires exceptional analytical skills, business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders through fact-based insights and executive-ready recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Channel Performance Insights

  • Analyze market, product, and channel performance to identify opportunities, trends, risks, and emerging drivers of attainment.
  • Develop executive-ready insights that explain how customer acquisition, retention, traffic, conversion, and other performance metrics are influencing results.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into concise, decision-ready recommendations for market leadership.
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with actionable insights and performance narratives.

Market Performance Management

  • Monitor performance against Budget, Forecast, and other operating plans across products, channels, and markets.
  • Develop reporting and performance views that connect attainment results to underlying business drivers.
  • Establish performance management routines that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across leadership teams.
  • Identify emerging trends and risks that may impact current-quarter and future attainment.

Channel & Initiative Performance Management

  • Develop a deep understanding of channel-level performance drivers, including traffic, conversion, productivity, churn, offer effectiveness, and sales mix.
  • Evaluate the impact of promotions, pricing actions, marketing investments, and go-to-market initiatives on market performance.
  • Build drivers-based forecasts, waterfall analyses, and performance attribution views that quantify how channel performance, business initiatives, opportunities, and risks impact gross adds, disconnects, and net add attainment.
  • Identify the channels, initiatives, and operational factors contributing most significantly to forecast changes and performance outcomes, and provide recommendations to improve results.

Strategic Opportunity Planning & Deployment Readiness

  • Partner with Pricing, Offers, Marketing, Go-to-Market, and Forecasting teams to identify and evaluate opportunities that can improve market performance.
  • Assess expected volume impact, execution requirements, timing considerations, and implementation dependencies associated with proposed initiatives.
  • Help prepare markets and partner organizations for execution by aligning stakeholders around priorities, deployment timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Maintain visibility into critical milestones, launch readiness requirements, and decision deadlines necessary to influence quarterly results.

AI & Advanced Analytics

  • Leverage AI-enabled analytics, automation, and advanced analytical techniques to accelerate insight generation and improve business decision-making.
  • Partner with Data & Technology teams to enhance reporting tools, dashboards, forecasting inputs, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Develop scalable analytical frameworks and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across business reviews and planning processes.
  • Serve as an AI champion by identifying opportunities to automate workflows, improve productivity, and expand analytical capabilities through responsible AI adoption.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics, strategy, finance, business intelligence, consulting, marketing analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience translating complex business problems into actionable insights and business recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in performance management, forecasting, opportunity analysis, and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, Excel, and related analytical tools.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets and developing scalable reporting and decision-support frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities and influence action across matrixed organizations.
  • Experience developing executive-facing presentations, recommendations, and business reviews.
  • Strong understanding of market performance drivers, go-to-market strategies, customer acquisition, retention, and growth initiatives.
  • Passion for leveraging AI technologies and automation to improve business outcomes and team effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting sales, marketing, pricing, forecasting, operations, or go-to-market organizations is highly desirable.
  • BA/BS degree required; advanced degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.


This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered.

Our Lead Market Development jobs earn between $128,400.00 - $215,800.00 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
