Job description

We are seeking a Manager of Business Development to lead and develop the Business Development Center team responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and generating high-quality B2B sales leads. This role will oversee Business Development Specialists within the Business Development Center and work closely with Sales and Marketing to build a strong outbound pipeline that supports franchise growth and enterprise sales efforts.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on outbound sales leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment. This person will coach, develop, and inspire the Business Development Center team while continuously improving prospecting strategy, performance, and technology use.

What you'll do
  • Lead, coach, and support the Business Development Center team to achieve daily activity goals and appointment targets.
  • Partner with Marketing to align campaign strategy, messaging, and lead qualification criteria.
  • Develop and deliver coaching on outbound prospecting, objection handling, positioning, and appointment setting.
  • Create tailored outbound prospecting playbooks for the Business Development Center based on service offerings and campaigns.
  • Manage and improve the tools used by the Business Development Center, including CRM, sales engagement platforms, intent data, AI tools, and call technologies.
  • Analyze campaign and call center performance, prepare reports, and use data to improve results.
  • Track key metrics such as conversion rates, email engagement, call effectiveness, and pipeline attribution.
  • Build strong relationships with franchisees to support lead generation and business growth.
  • Manage budget, forecasts, and revenue tracking to help ensure goals are met or exceeded.
What we're looking for
  • 5+ years of success leading inside sales or business development teams in a B2B environment.
  • Strong experience with outbound sales strategies and enterprise prospecting.
  • Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop sales professionals.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing prospecting technologies such as CRM systems, sales engagement tools, intent data, AI tools, and call technologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office Suite; Power BI or other analytics tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Franchise industry experience is highly desirable.
