Commercial Operations Manager

Job description

About Bulk Environmental & Industrial

Bulk Environmental & Industrial is a fast-growing leader in professional transportation and logistics services, providing long-haul transportation, collection, and loading of waste and other materials. We are scaling rapidly and investing in the commercial infrastructure โ€” processes, systems, and analytics โ€” that will drive revenue predictability and long-term enterprise value.

The Opportunity

Weโ€™re looking for a Commercial Operations Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our commercial organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is responsible for the processes, systems, and reporting that keep our commercial function running โ€” contract administration, pricing, pipeline management, forecasting, customer retention, and business transitions.

This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role for someone who thrives on structure, detail, and execution. If youโ€™re the person who builds the systems that others rely on โ€” and who finds it satisfying when the numbers are clean, the contracts are current, and the renewals donโ€™t slip โ€” this role was built for you.

What Youโ€™ll Own

Contract & Commercial Governance

  • Maintain the master repository of all active customer contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Track contract lifecycles โ€” start dates, expiration, renewal terms, termination clauses, and notification requirements.
  • Own a rolling 12-month contract renewal calendar and coordinate renewal planning across the commercial team.

Revenue Performance & Commercial Analytics

  • Maintain pricing schedules, surcharge programs, and contractually required fee adjustments.
  • Coordinate the price increase process: customer notifications, implementation tracking, and realization reporting.
  • Build and maintain rolling revenue forecasts using contract assumptions and pipeline inputs.
  • Reconcile forecasted versus actual performance and surface key variances for leadership review.
  • Prepare monthly commercial performance reports and dashboards for executive leadership.

Pipeline & Commercial Process Management

  • Monitor pipeline health, stage progression, close-date accuracy, and forecast reliability.
  • Produce regular reporting on pipeline performance, conversion trends, and commercial activity.
  • Maintain win/loss reporting and drive continuous improvement in bidding and commercial execution.
  • Document and continuously improve commercial processes and standard operating procedures.

Customer Retention & Business Transition

  • Support customer tiering programs and retention initiatives.
  • Coordinate the transition of new business from commercial teams to operations, ensuring setup completion and first invoice accuracy.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to resolve process gaps and improve execution.

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • 3โ€“5 years of experience in commercial operations, sales operations, pricing, contract administration, revenue operations, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in reporting, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with CRM platforms a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, operational, and financial stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills โ€” you manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Why Bulk Environmental & Industrial

Weโ€™re building something. This isnโ€™t a role where youโ€™re maintaining a mature machine โ€” youโ€™re helping us build the commercial operating system from the ground up. Youโ€™ll work directly with senior leadership, have visibility into the full business, and see the direct impact of your work on company performance.

If you want to be at a company that moves fast, values execution over process for its own sake, and gives you room to grow, we want to hear from you.

We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
