Under the direction of the VP Commercial Operations, the Director, Commercial Operations is responsible for driving commercial excellence across the assigned business segment by leading the processes, systems, analytics, and teams that support revenue growth, margin expansion, customer satisfaction, and forecast accuracy. This role serves as the operational backbone of the commercial organization, ensuring alignment between Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership.

The Director will lead scalable commercial processes, manage performance metrics, drive proposal and pricing governance, support strategic planning, and provide the visibility required to effectively manage pipeline, backlog, order intake, and revenue conversion. This leader will play a critical role in enabling profitable growth and creating a best-in-class customer experience.

Position Responsibilities
  • Top 3 Essential KPIs: Quote Turnaround Time, CRM Adoption & Data Quality, Commercial Process Cycle Time Reduction
  • Lead sales operations processes supporting opportunity management, demand planning, and revenue forecasting.
  • Provide executive leadership with actionable insights regarding commercial trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop and govern pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Lead commercial reviews of major proposals, quotations, and strategic opportunities.
  • Monitor pricing effectiveness, margin performance, and win-rate analytics.
  • Oversee proposal development processes to ensure consistency, quality, responsiveness, and compliance.
  • Drive implementation of best practices for proposal management and bid execution.
  • Collaborate with technical, legal, supply chain, and operations teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Improve proposal cycle times and conversion rates.
  • Maintain KPI dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into commercial performance.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Commercial, Operations, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership.
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and executive business reviews.
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering accountability and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Influence organizational priorities through data-driven recommendations
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent education and experience.
  • Aeroderivative Gas Turbine experience, specifically with LM2500 and LM6000.
  • Experience utilizing project management tools and processes, including experience with MS Project or Primavera software packages.
  • 5+ years’ experience in leading commercial or sales organizations, and/or project engineering, project management organizations.
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Experience in strategic planning and execution, contracting, negotiating, and change management.
  • Ability to develop detailed financial plans and execute to a budget.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in problem solving, cost estimating/control, as well as schedule attainment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels internal to the organization as well as externally to key customer contacts.
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
