Job description

Job Summary
Sr Test Analyst role in a hybrid work model focusing on end to end testing for learning management systems and content management platforms. The position requires strong expertise in performance testing manual data testing testing documentation and content verification to ensure reliable learning experiences. The analyst will collaborate across product engineering and operations teams to reduce defects improve system performance and support scalable digital learning solutions for global use

Location: West Palm Beach, FL. Remote candidate can be considered. Candidate must be in the U.S
Experience: 6- 9
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $95,000/Year to $113,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.

Responsibilities
  • Own comprehensive test planning activities for learning management and content management platforms by creating detailed test strategies that cover functional performance and data validation aspects aligned with business goals and compliance needs.
  • Execute end to end manual testing of learning modules user journeys and administrative features by methodically validating each scenario to ensure a reliable and intuitive experience for learners instructors and support staff.
  • Develop and maintain structured test documentation including test plans test cases traceability matrices and execution reports that provide clear visibility into coverage risks defects and release readiness for key stakeholders.
  • Perform performance testing on core learning management workflows such as course enrollment content playback and assessment execution to identify bottlenecks and support tuning efforts that improve response times and platform scalability.
  • Conduct manual data testing across course catalogs user records completion status and assessment results to verify data accuracy consistency and integrity ensuring that analytics and compliance reporting are trustworthy and actionable.
  • Validate content management system workflows for authoring publishing versioning and archival of learning content to confirm that content life cycle processes are robust traceable and align with organizational quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners business analysts and engineering teams in a hybrid setting to clarify requirements refine acceptance criteria and translate domain knowledge of learning management systems into effective test scenarios.
  • Provide root cause insights by analyzing defect trends performance metrics and production issues to recommend targeted improvements that reduce recurring failures enhance system stability and support continuous delivery of learning solutions.
  • Review and challenge user stories use cases and solution designs from a testing perspective by highlighting edge cases integration risks and data dependencies that could affect learner experience or reporting accuracy.
  • Support release cycles and day shift deployment activities by performing regression suites smoke tests and validation checks that safeguard critical learning processes while minimizing disruptions to business operations.
  • Contribute to test process optimization by proposing improvements in test case design reuse of test assets and adoption of suitable tools that increase productivity and consistency for the testing team without requiring travel.
  • Document clear and concise defect reports with reproducible steps impact analysis and prioritization guidance so engineering teams can efficiently resolve issues and reduce time to fix before production rollout.
  • Engage with cross functional partners to communicate test outcomes residual risks and quality recommendations in a way that helps decision makers balance timelines quality expectations and user experience for digital learning initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bring six to nine years of hands on experience in testing and test documentation with a proven ability to design thorough test coverage and produce high quality artifacts that support audits and knowledge sharing.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in performance testing for web based learning and content platforms including workload design scenario execution and interpretation of performance metrics to guide optimization efforts.
  • Apply advanced skills in manual data testing by validating complex data flows between learning management and content systems ensuring that data mappings transformations and storage rules meet business and compliance requirements.
  • Show in depth domain expertise in learning management systems including course structures enrollments assessments certifications and reporting so that test approaches accurately reflect real world learning operations.
  • Exhibit solid experience in content management system testing with focus on metadata validation content relationships publishing rules and user access controls to maintain a consistent and secure content experience.
  • Utilize strong analytical and problem solving capabilities to interpret requirements design effective test scenarios and quickly pinpoint root causes for defects in hybrid environments that blend remote and onsite collaboration.
  • Communicate clearly in written and verbal form with stakeholders at multiple levels by explaining test findings quality risks and mitigation options in a structured and fact based manner.
  • Adapt effectively to hybrid work arrangements and day shift schedules by coordinating with distributed teams managing time independently and maintaining continuous alignment on priorities and milestones.
  • Display familiarity with standard test management and defect tracking tools as well as reporting practices that enable traceable test execution consistent documentation and meaningful dashboards for leadership teams.

Certifications Required
ISTQB Certified Tester Advanced Level or equivalent performance testing certification relevant to web based learning platforms.
