The Senior Manager, Learning Management Systems (LMS), leads the needs assessment, design, and development of learning software to support the training requirements of our dealer network. This role oversees the administration and ongoing maintenance of the LMS, ensuring it remains current and effectively enables technician training for servicing Generac products.
Major Responsibilities
  • Optimizes and keeps system updated for ease of use and customer experience
  • Manages system set up to integrate with other inside business systems (SAP, Salesforce etc)
  • Leads implementation of automation to create a best in class customer experience
  • Adapts, tests, and publishes new learning content in the system
  • Prepares curriculum for LMS style of education
  • Troubleshoots administrative and user technical issues
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to create and maintain company-wide instructional standards and best practices
  • Develops policies and procedures to establish consistent use of the system
  • Creates reports to track system performance and use
  • Develops reporting pertinent to the dealers to track and manage their employees to maintain certification levels
  • Provides leadership and direction to the team by hiring, coaching, and developing talent
  • Sets clear, motivating expectations and actively manages performance through recognition, feedback, and appropriate corrective action.
  • Manages the Instructional designers to convert content and create online course materials for Service and others as needed

Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree

Work Experience
  • 7 years progressive experience in a training capacity
  • 3 years progressive leadership experience

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and/or LMS Development tools.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills
  • Instructional Design knowledge

Preferred Job Requirements
Education
  • Masters Degree in Learning and Development

Work Experience
  • Experience in developing comprehensive adult learning programs to advance and sustain learning
  • Experience with Learning Management System administration
  • Experience working in a global enterprise

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Strong instructional design skills with ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts
  • Understanding of online authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate and/or other (SCORM, AICC) eLearning authoring formats
  • Ability to lead projects on-time, within budget and to meet the client expectations
  • Strong consulting and analytical skills with the ability to assess business and human performance goals and gaps using both qualitative and quantitative factors
  • Ability to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels within the organization

Office Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
