Role Summary:

The Manager, Enterprise Learning Management is a critical leadership role within HUB's HR talent team, and is responsible for the performance, strategic direction, and continuous improvement of HUB Learning, our enterprise-wide learning management system (Cornerstone). This is a working manager role: you will lead and develop a small team of LMS administrators while remaining hands-on in platform administration, client consulting, and the delivery of high-quality learning operations across the organization.

This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, technical expertise, and client service. You will set the standard for how the team engages with internal business partners, establish and enforce LMS governance and operational practices, and drive platform optimization that directly supports employee development, engagement, and retention at scale.

This is a hybrid role based in our Chicago, IL office, with an expectation of three days on-site per week to support cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of LMS administrators, establishing clear performance expectations, growth plans, and accountability structures.
  • Allocate team capacity across system administration, client support, and project work, ensuring SLA commitments are consistently met.
  • Foster a high-performance, service-oriented team culture with a focus on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex issues, platform decisions, and cross-functional stakeholder concerns.
LMS Platform Administration and Optimization
  • Own the administration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of HUB's enterprise LMS platform (Cornerstone OnDemand) to meet evolving organizational talent needs. This includes acting as the primary contact to our Cornerstone account partners, managing escalations and contract agreements.
  • Ensure platform stability, security, and data integrity through regular monitoring, maintenance, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Lead evaluation and implementation of system enhancements, new features, and Cornerstone OnDemand releases; assess business impact and prioritize deployment accordingly.
  • Manage and govern data integrations between Cornerstone OnDemand and HRIS/IT system and external content providers (Skillsoft, Udemy, etc.) ensuring seamless data flows and accuracy;
  • Establish, maintain, and enforce LMS governance standards including roles, permissions, data integrity rules, content policies, and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Generate, analyze, and present LMS reporting and talent analytics to inform stakeholder decisions and demonstrate learning program impact.
Client Advisory and Consulting Services
  • Serve as a senior consultant and point of escalation for business leaders and Learning Leads seeking LMS expertise, functionality guidance, and program support.
  • Manage the intake and prioritization of learning content administration requests, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery in alignment with established SLAs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to design and configure learning programs, curricula, and content within the LMS, translating business needs into effective platform solutions and robust reporting and metrics needed to evaluate HUB's learning investments.
  • Provide direct support for high-priority and high-visibility learning programs, including instructor-led program logistics and system-based facilitation support when needed.
  • Create and maintain customized LMS assets including email banners, thumbnails, and evaluations in compliance with HUB Brand Guidelines.
Community of Practice and Administrator Enablement
  • Co-lead the HUB Learning Administrator Community of Practice, driving engagement, best practice sharing, and capability development across the network of local LMS administrators.
  • Serve as the primary escalation and support resource for local administrators on issue resolution and advanced troubleshooting.
Strategic Contribution
  • Partner with the broader Talent Development leadership team(s) to align LMS capabilities with enterprise talent and learning strategy.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Cornerstone OnDemand platform developments, LMS industry trends, and emerging learning technology best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's annual roadmap, identifying priorities that advance platform maturity, user experience, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of LMS administration experience, with at least 1-2 years in a team lead, supervisory, or people management capacity.
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with Cornerstone OnDemand; Cornerstone OnDemand System Administrator Certification strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing client or stakeholder relationships in a consulting or internal service delivery capacity.
  • Experience with HRIS data integrations and third-party LMS integrations; ability to partner effectively with IT and HRIS teams.
  • Track record of developing and enforcing LMS governance policies, data standards, and operational procedures.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong people leadership instincts: you lead with clarity, develop your team's capabilities, and build a culture of accountability and service excellence.
  • Expert-level command of Cornerstone OnDemand back-end functionality, including configuration, reporting, integrations, and content management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high degree of attention to detail in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical business partners and present data-driven insights to senior leaders.
  • Strong project and workload management skills; comfortable managing competing priorities across team and individual responsibilities.
  • Client-service orientation: you set a high bar for responsiveness, quality, and proactive communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with learning analytics and reporting tools a plus.
