About the Financial Controller position
We are looking for a skilled Financial Controller who will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation. An ideal candidate will be hands on, responsive, and able to handle multiple competing priorities with urgency. The Controller will work with all various levels within the company and work well in a team environment. You will review and develop our internal control policies and procedures as well as perform financial risk management. Flexible in/out of office work schedule.
Financial Controller responsibilities are:
  • Review and organize the entire stack of company's accounting operations: Billing, A/R, A/P, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition, GL and Counsel
  • Review existing technical accounting issues and develop measures to optimize them
  • Create and document business processes and accounting policies to optimize internal controls
  • Manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and and prepare reports on the results
  • Oversee company's month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Oversee the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Create timely monthly financial statements and present them to company's executives and top managers
  • Ensure the compliance with state reporting requirements, applicable laws and tax filings
  • Payroll functions
  • Other duties as assigned

Financial Controller requirements are:
  • 5 years' experience of working as a Finance Manager or Controller position
  • 10 years' experience with accounting procedures and principles
  • Significant experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year end close process and financial statements management
  • Good knowledge of accounting software and QuickBooks. Should have strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace and tech ability in paperless environment.
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
