Job description

Job: Controller/Assistant Controller (Consultant)

Location: San Jose, CA

Onsite Requirements: 5 days per week

Hourly Pay: $85-$105/hour, depending on experience

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Company in the South Bay is seeking a Controller or Assistant Controller on an interim/consulting basis. Seeking individuals who come with a minimum of 10 years of experience working in large organizations ($1B+) and have experience working with companies who have scaled. CPA is preferred but not required.

Job Details:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for accounting operations, including general accounting.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor accounting staff.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute organizational initiatives and process improvements. 
  • Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
  • Manage the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
