Automotive Controller | San Francisco Bay Area Are you an experienced Automotive Controller looking for a role where you can actually influence growth? We are currently seeking a Controller for a dealership in the San Francisco, CA. market. While this is a smaller store, it is part of an acquisition-minded dealer group—meaning there is significant room for professional expansion as they grow footprint in the market. The Details: Location: San Francisco Market Compensation: $120,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience) The Vibe: Small store feel with "Big Group" resources and acquisition opportunities. Job Requirements
  • Recommends to management team major financial strategies and objectives for theDealer Group.
  • Provides management with timely reviews of dealership’s financial status andprogress.
  • Prepares a monthly financial statement by the 5th of the month.
  • Performs monthly balance sheet account analysis.
  • Prepares reports which summarize, forecast company business activity andfinancial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past,present, and expected operations.
  • Conveys the financial condition of each department to the department manager
  • Oversees dealership accounting.
  • Reinforces company policies and adheres to company standards.
  • Encourages compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensures proper internal controls are in place.
  • Attends weekly manager meetings.
  • Maintains good working relationship with banks and other financialinstitutions.
  • Ensures that annual external audit requirements are met.
  • Maintains effective employee relations & promotes and maintains good ESI.
  • Maintains CSI at or above company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Require at least 3 years OfficeManager Experience in an Automotive Dealership.
  • Held qualified position within the past 12 months.
  • Minimum of 5 years'experience in an Automotive Dealership Office
  • In-depth experience in all areas of retail automotive accounting (including assistance to Dealer in strategic planning, balance sheet management and all payroll and dealership HR functions)
  • Experience working with management team on financial analysis and expense control
  • In-depth knowledge of the CDK / ADP dealership management system
  • Experience in managinga multiple franchise business office.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong people management skills
