What does a remote construction controller do?

Remote Construction Controllers use cloud-based accounting software and project management tools to monitor budgets, track expenses, and process invoices in real time. Common challenges include ensuring accurate data collection from field teams and maintaining clear communication despite not being physically present, but strong organizational skills and proactive follow-up help overcome these hurdles. This setup allows controllers to support multiple projects simultaneously and gain exposure to a variety of construction operations, which can lead to advanced roles in project or corporate finance.
