If you are aProgram Manager with strong cross-functional leadership skills and a track record of executing programs and delivering results, then Copeland - Americas has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Sidney, Ohio location, you will be responsible for managing the entire portfolio of product programs for the $0.7B Cold Chain - Compression line of business by establishing strategic priorities, allocating resources and capital, and leading a team of Program Managers that oversee the execution of new product development programs.

As the Director of Program Management, you will:

  • Be accountable for the execution of new product launches and other major product programs, ensuring that all programs meet market requirements, schedule, and financial targets

  • Establish Program priorities through collaboration with sales, marketing, product management, engineering, and operations

  • Own the phase-gate process and instill a culture of disciplined execution and process improvement across all functional groups in the business

  • Foster collaboration across a globally matrixed organization to drive speed, resource efficiency, product strategy alignment, and cost optimization

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support for a team of Program Managers and Engineering Change Coordinators

  • Establish and implement talent development plans for direct reports to enable team players to reach their full potential

Required education, experiences & skills:

  • A proven track record of demonstrated results in a B2B environment, including experience in new product development, project management, cross-functional leadership, engineering and product marketing.

  • Experience leading and influencing teams in a globally matrixed organizational structure

  • Direct staff leadership of a team, including establishing development plans, managing and tracking objectives and deliverables, and coaching for performance

  • Strong executive communication / presentation skills and ability to influence a wide range of internal/external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to merge understanding of technical concepts with financial/business acumen.

  • Ability to balance multiple stakeholders, resolve conflict, and make sound decisions

  • MBA or Bachelor's Degree with equivalent business experience

Preferred education, experiences & skills :

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience preferred

  • Marketing or technical undergraduate degree preferred

  • HVAC/R industry experience preferred

  • Technical work experience a plus

Through our 30 years of scroll compressor expertise, our air conditioning related products help bring comfort and convenience in commercial, industrial and residential spaces. The cold chain business helps ensure that food safely and efficiently travels from farm to fork. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions. With the blend of businesses and functions represented under this one roof, there are many opportunities for advancement within the Sidney location.

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
