Job description

Position Summary

The Bid Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Arq's commercial growth by leading the end-to-end bid management process and ensuring the timely, accurate, and competitive submission of customer proposals. Serving as a key partner to the Sales Operations Lead, this role collaborates closely with Sales, Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Finance, and HR to coordinate bid responses , develop pricing recommendations, and deliver exceptional customer support throughout the proposal lifecycle .
Beyond bid execution, the Bid Analyst drives data-informed decision making by maintaining market intelligence, tracking historical bids and win/loss trends, and delivering actionable analytics that strengthen pricing strategies and improve commercial performance. This position also supports customer onboarding, facilitates cross-functional communication, helps resolve customer issues, and continuously identifies opportunities to improve processes, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end preparation, coordination, and timely submission of customer bids, proposals, and tenders while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, commercial objectives, and internal approval requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret procurement documents (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, contracts, and customer specifications) to develop compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals.
  • Coordinate cross-functional contributions from Sales, Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Finance, HR, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality bid responses within demanding timelines.
  • Leverage AI-enabled technologies and digital tools to improve proposal development, automate repetitive tasks, enhance data quality, and increase overall efficiency while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop pricing models and commercial recommendations by analyzing historical bids, market trends, customer requirements, competitive intelligence, and profitability considerations.
  • Maintain bid libraries, proposal templates, pricing databases, and market intelligence to support commercial excellence and organizational knowledge sharing.
  • Track bid activity, win/loss performance, pricing trends, and customer metrics, providing actionable insights and executive reporting that support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Relations to strengthen customer relationships, improve responsiveness, and deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Support customer onboarding activities by coordinating internal resources to ensure a seamless transition from awarded business to operational execution.
  • Serve as a backup resource for Customer Relations by coordinating deliveries, managing customer inquiries and action requests, monitoring order fulfillment, and assisting with invoicing and issue resolution.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc commercial performance reports, dashboards, forecasts, and business analyses for Sales Operations leadership.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline commercial processes, improve data integrity, reduce cycle times, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Three or more years of experience in bid management, commercial operations, sales operations, customer success, account management, supply chain, pricing, or customer service within a manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environment.
  • Experience interpreting customer specifications, contracts, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), CRM platforms, Microsoft Excel (advanced), Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Power BI, Salesforce, AI-enabled productivity tools, or other business intelligence and data visualization platforms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities while consistently delivering accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
