Job description

Your Work Matters

The Contract and Bid Analyst supports Floor & Decor’s Commercial and PRO Competitive Bid processes and initiatives across the PRO and Commercial departments. This role is responsible for executing bid pricing analyses, processing pricing requests, supporting our Stores and Regional Account Managers, while supporting pricing workflows to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive pricing decisions. 

The Analyst partners closely with the Competitive Pricing Support Manager, Sales, FP&A, and Operations teams to help drive profitable growth through disciplined execution of pricing strategies. This role focuses on analytical rigor, documentation accuracy, and process consistency to support store teams, project bid support, and commercial sales execution. 

You’ll Be Successful With

  • Previous experience in pricing analysis, sales operations, commercial support, or bid pricing 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate margin, price competitiveness, and deal structure 
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent pricing requests and meet turnaround expectations 
  • Strong attention to detail with consistent documentation and data accuracy 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Merchandising, Sales, Finance, or Operations teams 
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and pricing or reporting tools 

Your Day Consists Of

Bid Pricing Support & Execution 

  • Execute bid pricing analysis for PRO and Commercial project opportunities under established pricing frameworks and guardrails 
  • Support pricing decisions by analyzing cost, margin, competitive benchmarks, and deal structure 
  • Assist with complex pricing requests by preparing structured analysis and recommendations for review 
  • Directly support Stores and Regional Account Managers to close sales through managing competitive price requests 

Pricing Operations & Workflow Support 

  • Support the end-to-end pricing request process for PRO and Commercial pricing initiatives 
  • Manage intake, tracking, prioritization, and documentation of pricing requests from stores and commercial teams 
  • Accurately document pricing decisions and related details in Salesforce and other required systems 
  • Follow established pricing standards, communication guidelines, and documentation practices 

Reporting & Insights Support 

  • Track pricing activity, turnaround times, and outcomes to support reporting needs 
  • Assist with compiling data related to competitive trends, pricing exceptions, and margin performance 
  • Provide analytical support for leadership reporting and decision-making 

Working Conditions (travel & environment)

  • Occasional travel may be required 
  • Ability to interact with store, warehouse, and commercial teams as needed 

PHYSICAL/SENSORY    REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
