Senior Marketing Procurement Analyst


Location: 6625 Excellence Way, Plano, TX, USA

Position Overview

The Senior Marketing Procurement Analyst will support Samsung Electronics America’s Marketing Procurement organization by leading strategic sourcing activities, competitive bidding processes, supplier management, and procurement optimization initiatives.

This role will focus on retail marketing procurement, including retail campaigns, shopper marketing, in-store marketing, point-of-sale (POS), digital, print, media, and promotional initiatives. The position will partner closely with Marketing, Procurement, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, negotiate supplier agreements, ensure procurement compliance, and drive operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Competitive Bidding

  • Lead competitive bidding and quote management processes for marketing initiatives, including retail campaigns, in-store marketing, shopper marketing, POS, and promotional activities.
  • Develop and manage RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQ) for creative agencies, media partners, print suppliers, digital vendors, and retail activation partners.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that align with business objectives, market conditions, and Samsung procurement policies.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, bid analysis, and cost comparisons to support effective sourcing decisions.

Procurement Policy & Compliance Management

  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with SEA Procurement standards and global procurement policies established by Samsung HQ.
  • Prepare procurement documentation, reports, and analysis to support Compliance and Internal Audit requirements.
  • Monitor procurement processes to ensure transparency, governance, and adherence to company policies.

Marketing & Retail Procurement Support

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Retail business teams to translate annual and seasonal business plans into procurement roadmaps.
  • Support project intake, prioritization, and procurement planning to ensure early engagement and alignment with business timelines.
  • Develop retail-focused sourcing strategies considering campaign schedules, seasonal demand, and fast-paced marketing requirements.

Negotiation & Contract Management

  • Lead supplier negotiations related to pricing, contract terms, scope of work, and service agreements.
  • Develop negotiation strategies to achieve competitive pricing, favorable commercial terms, and flexibility for retail campaigns.
  • Review commercial terms and contract documentation to ensure alignment with negotiated pricing, scope, and business requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with Legal, Procurement, and business stakeholders prior to contract execution.

Vendor Management & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and validate new marketing and retail vendor requests based on business needs, supplier capabilities, risk factors, and preferred supplier strategies.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Risk Management, and Legal teams during vendor onboarding and approval processes.
  • Analyze procurement workflows, tools, and systems (including BQMS, CLM, and intake processes) to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support implementation of process and system enhancements to improve efficiency, compliance, transparency, and user experience.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal teams, third-party partners, and Samsung affiliates.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related functions, preferably within Samsung or a global organization.
  • Extensive experience in marketing procurement with a focus on retail campaigns, shopper marketing, or consumer-facing initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of competitive bidding, RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, develop reports, and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Korean-English bilingual communication skills.
  • Experience managing retail marketing suppliers, agencies, and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of marketing procurement, retail execution, and consumer campaign environments.
