Job description

Job Title: Lead Commercial AV Technician
Location: Dallas, TX
We are seeking a Lead Commercial AV Technician to oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of permanent corporate, education, and government AV systems. You will lead on-site crews, interface with project managers, and deliver fully operational audio, video, and control solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on-site installation teams to deliver permanent commercial systems.
  • Pull and terminate structured low-voltage cabling behind walls and ceilings.
  • Mount heavy displays, projectors, structural backing, and video walls.
  • Test and tune multi-zone audio systems, microphones, and DSPs.
  • Interpret architectural blueprints and functional drawings.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years in commercial AV integration or low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing field crews and sub-contractors.
  • Certification: AVIXA CTS or CTS-I credentials are highly desirable.
  • Audio-Video: Deep knowledge of signal routing, EDID management, and commercial displays.
  • Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate lifts safely.
