Digital Consultants is seeking an AV Technician to join our team! As the AV Technician, you will provide comprehensive AV support for all systems and equipment and act as a principal performer for onsite technical support. You will perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), update programs, software and firmware, and make any necessary adjustments, calibrations, and repairs to AV systems.


Duties to include: 

  • Maintain AV systems, including all audio, video, and control components. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with AV systems, including diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues.
  • Utilize manufacturer software and hardware tools to maintain and troubleshoot AV Systems 
  • Collaborate with others to ensure that AV systems are integrated and working seamlessly with other technologies, such as videoconferencing, networking and security systems. 
  • Input detailed ticket notes and maintain trouble tickets through their lifecycle
  • Gather and maintain inventories of AV systems and their individual components
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and make recommendations for new products or upgrades to existing AV systems. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of audiovisual (AV) systems, preferably in a military or government environment. 
  • Clearance: Secret 
  • Certifications: AVIXA AV Technologist Certificate, Avixa CTS preferred
  • Experience with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
  • Must have experience using Crestron Toolbox
  • Must have experience configuring Audio DSPs
  • Strong knowledge of AV system design and installation principles
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex AV systems and equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide high-quality customer service to end-users
  • Ability to work with high-ranking military and government officials
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with minimal supervision. 
  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights up to 20 feet 
  • Clean driving record and the ability to drive a company vehicle locally
