Job description

Job Summary:

This role is accountable for supporting the management and retention of existing clients in a specific region to ensure maximum customer retention. You will utilize basic sales and marketing techniques, industry knowledge, and company guidelines to help achieve company sales objectives and competitive positioning. This role provides an excellent opportunity to learn from senior team members while taking ownership of client accounts.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Support: Assist in building relationships with existing clients, emphasizing client education and serving as a trusted resource to foster long-term, mutually rewarding relationships.

  • Contract Renewals: Support the renewal process for customers' annual purchase contracts with IGS, working with senior team members to identify opportunities to extend contracts with customized pricing for future terms.

  • Sales and Marketing Collaboration: Help manage sales activities by utilizing company marketing materials, educational resources, and local relationships to support account growth and retention efforts.

  • Account Management: Support contractual obligations and communications for a book of 350-450 existing commercial accounts under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Profitability: Assist in maintaining and identifying opportunities to improve the profitability of customer accounts.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Problem-Solving: Help troubleshoot and address issues in the book of business, escalating as needed with a focus on client retention and satisfaction.

  • Market Updates: Provide customers with updated information on opportunities and pricing trends within the natural gas futures market, with support from more senior team members.

  • Client Meetings: Assist in client meetings (virtual or in-person) with senior team members, with travel as necessary.

  • Other Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and grow your expertise.

  • Basic ability to interpret and analyze information related to sales techniques.

  • Self-motivated with a client-focused mindset and an eagerness to learn and grow.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to learn advanced functions as needed.
