Reports To: North America Controller

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller to provide onsite support with the financial operations of our corporate group of companies. Working closely with the North America Controller, this role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and eager to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable (AP) functions across multiple entities within the corporate group.
  • Support accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of sales tax reports to ensure compliance with applicable regulations under minimal supervision.
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting with financial statement preparation.
  • Utilize Excel, Power BI, and other financial reporting tools to analyze data and generate insights.
  • Assist in developing and improving financial reporting processes and internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall financial operations.
  • Provide onsite accounting support, document control, and transactional oversight at the local facility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI and financial reporting systems preferred.
  • Solid understanding of AP, AR, and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with sales tax reporting and compliance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
