Interim Controller (Contract)
Location: Washington, DC (Onsite - 5 days/week)
Pay: Market Rate (Estimated $65-$85/hour)
Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Interim Controller for a contract engagement with a fast-paced, collaborative organization based in Washington, DC. This role will lead core accounting operations, oversee financial reporting, and manage multi-entity consolidations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, with NetSuite and consolidations experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all general ledger and accounting operations, including month-end close and account reconciliations
  • Oversee financial consolidations across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Utilize NetSuite (required) for day-to-day accounting operations and system management
  • Support expense reporting and process efficiency; Concur experience preferred
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in accordance with internal policies and procedures
  • Partner cross-functionally to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
  • Support audit activities, including preparation of schedules and responding to auditor requests
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an Interim Controller or senior accounting leadership role
  • Strong background in general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with financial consolidations (required)
  • Proficiency in NetSuite (required)
