Job description

LHH is seeking an Interim Controller for an opportunity based in Chicago. Ideally, we'd like for the selected candidate to have ten plus years of professional accounting experience within the Manufacturing industry. A CPA is highly preferred. Experience working with an automated financial management system is a must.
Details
Worksite Type: Hybrid (2 days onsite)
Position Type: Contract (indefinitely)
Rate: $85-$90/hr.
Interim Controller Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight and direction for all day-to-day functions for all Accounting, Finance,
  • Manage the cash disbursements and intercompany transfers
  • Supervise financial functions including cost and general accounting activities, product costing and capacity planning, and time studies
  • Complete month end and year end closings
  • Manage the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes
  • Perform analysis of reconciliations
  • Conduct analysis of all variances,
  • Fixed Asset/Equipment Tracking
  • Manage General Ledger, AP, AR and billing teams
  • Evaluate existing procedures in order to ensure efficient operation
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting
  • Plan and define performance goals with management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasizes in Finance or Accounting required
  • Ten plus years of General Accounting Experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
