What You'll Be Doing
As the Assistant Controller, you will partner closely with finance leadership to oversee accounting operations, develop talent, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing consolidated financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
- Assisting with monthly and annual close processes while ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis initiatives.
- Leading process improvement efforts across accounting workflows and systems.
- Driving standardization, operational efficiencies, and technology enhancements.
- Partnering with operational teams to improve reporting, controls, and decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7–12+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
- Strong background in WIP accounting, job costing, and project-based accounting environments.
- Construction industry experience is required; engineering, industrial manufacturing, HVAC, or similar project-driven industries will also be considered.
- CPA preferred.
- Experience within larger organizations and the ability to lead through growth and complexity.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP system experience; CMiC exposure is a significant plus.
Compensation
Competitive base salary generally ranging from $155,000 to $200,000+, depending on experience and qualifications, plus annual bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.
