Location: Greater Cleveland, Ohio
The OpportunityOur client is a growing organization seeking a Division Controller who is ready to take the next step in their accounting and finance career and make a meaningful impact.This is an excellent opportunity for an up-and-coming finance leader with strong cost accounting and analytical experience who wants more than a traditional Controller role. The Division Controller will have the opportunity to strengthen and build cost-accounting processes, develop a team, partner closely with operations and leadership, and play an important role in the implementation of SAP.This is a hands-on, highly visible position where the right individual can help shape the financial infrastructure of a growing business and position themselves for continued career growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead accounting and financial activities for the division, including month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and cost accounting.Develop and strengthen cost-accounting processes, systems, and controls.Analyze product and operational costs and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.Provide financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and recommendations to business and executive leadership.Partner with Operations, Sales, and other business leaders to drive informed financial decisions.Support the Annual Operating Plan, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance management.Oversee inventory controls and key performance metrics.Lead, mentor, and develop an accounting/finance team.Help improve and implement scalable accounting processes as the organization continues to grow.Play a key role in the SAP implementation, helping ensure effective integration of accounting and cost-accounting processes.Maintain strong internal controls and ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.What We're Looking For10+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience.Strong cost accounting and financial analysis experience.Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience REQUIRED, Bioscience Industry experience highly preferred.Experience in accounting, FP&A, plant/divisional controlling, or a similar environment.Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and operational data and turn it into actionable business recommendations.Experience leading or developing an accounting/finance team.Strong Excel skills.ERP experience required; SAP S/4HANA experience is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA or other professional designation is a plus.Strong communication and leadership skills.Why This Opportunity?If you're an ambitious accounting professional looking for an opportunity to build, improve, lead, and grow, this role offers the chance to have a direct impact on a growing organization.You'll have the opportunity to build stronger cost-accounting processes, develop a team, influence business decisions, and help lead a major SAP implementation—while expanding your leadership and business experience.Candidates local to Northeast Ohio ONLY.
