Alliance Service Group is a growing, multi-state automotive staffing company that provides workforce solutions to automotive dealerships. The company operates in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment that requires strong financial discipline, accurate reporting, proactive cash management, and close coordination between finance, operations, payroll, and leadership.
Position Overview
Alliance Service Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Company Controller to oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting for our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks experience, a solid understanding of GAAP, and the ability to manage financial processes, reporting, budgeting, and cash flow. This role will work closely with the company's CFO, ownership, operations leadership, and finance team.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and other recurring accounting functions.
Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure accounting records are accurate, organized, and properly supported.
Monitor cash flow and support reporting, forecasting, debt tracking, and other cash management processes.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to ownership/management, including ad hoc reporting.
Work closely with payroll and operations to ensure labor costs, payroll accruals, and related expenses are properly recorded.
Identify accounting issues, unusual activity, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Help strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, documentation, reporting processes, and recurring workflows.
Support and communicate with finance team members, company leadership, and outside accounting resources as needed.
Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
5+ years of Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant or similar experience required.
Advanced QuickBooks experience required.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience managing payroll and cash flow.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong Excel skills required.
Experience in a multi-state, multi-location, staffing, dealership, service, or labor-intensive business is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
