Business Controller - Marietta (Atlanta)

About the Role

The Business Controller is part of the North America Business Controlling team, a group of 15+ professionals supporting Vanderlande operations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

You will partner closely with business leaders to define financial objectives, drive performance improvements, and deliver actionable insights that enhance forecasting accuracy and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, consolidate, and report financial data across Service Contracts, Projects, Supply Chain, Factory, and Business Support, with a strong focus on Site-Based Services and Projects
  • Identify and drive financial improvement opportunities across the business
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects, partnering cross-functionally to track and deliver measurable results
  • Support Services Controlling, including site-based services, spare parts, and field services
  • Support Project Controlling, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Partner with Sales on Sales Controlling initiatives, including:
    • Project cash flow management
    • Foreign currency exposure
    • Local tax estimation
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with Shared Services teams to ensure quality and timeliness of administrative processes (e.g., invoicing)
  • Monitor financial performance and maintain Latest Estimates (LE) in line with forecasting cycles and deadlines
  • Provide financial guidance to ensure proper setup, execution, and reporting of projects and service contracts
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews and forecasting discussions
  • Contribute to ad hoc and strategic projects across North America and global teams

  • Experience in project-based or global organizations strongly preferred
