Your role
MVS PC North America is seeking a proactive and analytical Business Controller to support strategic decision-making and drive financial performance across the organization.
This role will serve as a strategic finance partner to product management, R&D, and operations, driving financial performance across the product portfolio. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of product economics, enabling data-driven decisions throughout the product lifecycle.
The Business Controller will also work closely with the Business Controller in the Customer Center (CC) to ensure seamless and aligned reporting to the division. This collaboration is essential for delivering consistent and integrated financial insights that support both local and divisional objectives. This position directly reports to the General Manager PC US, with dotted line reporting to MVS VP Finance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Monitor profitability across product lines, with a focus on PK control, product master data accuracy, and gross profit performance. Maintain and monitor standard costing system. Prepare product cost bridge.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Ensure accurate product costings and maintain up-to-date financial models.
  • Analyze financial results and variances to provide actionable insights to the management team.
  • Support scenario modeling and business case development to guide strategic decisions.
  • Supervise all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, asset reporting and input of information into computerized accounting systems.
  • Prepare financial statements and monthly reporting.
  • Recruit, manage, train, develop and evaluate performance of the Finance team.

Business Partnering
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor performance, ensure business trends are well understood, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive the implementation of corrective action plans to address performance gaps and support continuous improvement.
  • Provide financial guidance for strategic initiatives, investments, and cost optimization.
  • Collaborate with and support customer center inquiries.
  • Provide administrative guidance and direction to the company's IT department for the administration of the company's IT requirements.

Reporting & Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting in alignment with group standards and best practices.
  • Provide tools and insights to support accurate forecasting and early identification of deviations from plans.
  • Identify and implement automation solutions within financial and administrative processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Performance Management
  • Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor and communicate business performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes and systems.

Project Support:
  • Participate in cross-functional projects, including ERP implementations, M&A activities, and digital transformation initiatives, by providing financial insights and support.

To succeed, you will need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in financial software and databases.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • GPS experience and preferably experience with SAP. Being familiar with Group accounting principles (The Way We do Things) and IFRS.
