Job description

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Estero, and Lehigh Acres. We are currently seeking an Appointment Scheduler for our Adult Medicine division in Cape Coral. The schedule for this position is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Sample of Duties:
  • Answer a high volume of calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Obtain proper information from patients when scheduling appointments such as demographics and insurance information
  • Record information accurately into our patient management system
  • Communicate messages to appropriate parties
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Position Requirements:
  • Experience working in a high volume call center environment
  • Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
  • Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
  • Proficiency in handling all calls in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Knowledge of insurances, referrals, and eligibility a must
  • One year of medical office experience or a combination of medical education and office experience preferred
  • Regular and reliable job attendance is required
