Job description

Our Healthcare partner in Jackson needs a full-time Appointment Specialist to add to their team!

1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday – Friday

Starting wage is $15/hour

Full-time, temporary to permanent positions in Jackson, MI.

Essential Duties for the Appointment Specialist:

  • Schedule patient appointments via phone.

  • Complete registration & verify demographics for patients.

  • Schedule transportation & translation services for patients as needed.

  • Check the call-in lines.

  • Follow up with patients who have missed their appointments & identify barriers.

  • Check in the basket daily & complete all pending tasks.

  • Assist patients with questions regarding services offered and connect patients with appropriate personnel.

  • Previous medical office experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical insurance rules preferred.

  • Excellent customer service.

  • Both written and verbal communication skills.
