Job description

An international company is seeking a Japanese Bilingual Temporary Administrative Assistant to work at their Torrance, CA office. This short-term temporary assignment will last until October 31, 2026.

  • Location: Torrance, CA
  • Position Type: Temporary
  • Assignment Duration: Up to October 31, 2026
  • Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (30-minute lunch break), First 90 days In-Office, then Hybrid (at least 2 days per week in office)
  • Pay Rate: $20–$21.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Requirements for the Temp Admin Assistant:

  • Driver’s License Required.
  • Experience: Administrative clerical work experience preferred
  • Language Skills: Japanese and English Bilingual required, must be able to write and speak in English and Japanese
  • Computer Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Numerical Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations, including discounts, fees, and totals
  • Other Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in high pressure environment and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Physical: Must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds
  • Some travel and overtime may be required.

Responsibilities of the Temp Admin Assistant:

  • Handle general administrative duties such as answering phone calls, obtaining documents when needed, sorting and distributing mail and packages
  • Communicate effectively with customers, management, and staff in Japanese and English
  • Ability to write reports and procedure manuals in English and Japanese
  • Maintain and track lease equipment, office supplies stock, cellular phones, office keys
  • Coordinate and submit office maintenance requests with building management
  • Register, create and manage key cards
  • Manage company vehicles, including arranging car washes and routine maintenance
  • Coordinate and plan internal company events
