Position Summary
The Senior Operations Analyst will support strategic business initiatives including RT Specialty's business process design and shared service solutions. This position will be a vital link between our technical solutions and our business processes; and will be responsible for the implementation and management of business shared service processes supporting our front office users. You will be tasked to lead or participate in multiple, complex projects utilizing and leveraging your own skillsets while also collaborating across teams.
What will your job entail?
Job Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships and partnerships with key business stakeholders, staying current on their needs, challenges and strategies.
  • Gather, synthesize, and analyze complex data to recognize trends and extract insights across the business to support your own informed decisions or to assist other team members and leadership in making decisions.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in relevant RT business processes and systems to define support requirements, design workflows, and provide guidance to shared service teams.
    • Understand the current state, the future state and be able to articulate the impact by role.
  • Define operational support requirements and inputs by working with system solution owners and implementation teams to understand workflow strategic design and processes.
  • Collaborate with Shared Service strategic and process teams to stand up new process support and projects.
  • Coordinate with Shared Service teams to review feedback from front office teams and monitor performance of supported processes.
  • Help diagnose and develop recommendations to resolve and prevent issues across Shared Service supported front office processes.
  • Assist in maintenance of documentation related to workflows and handoffs across technical solutions, systems, and front- and back-office teams.
    • Documentation may include business requirements, system and process inputs, use cases, future state proposals, etc.
  • Identify best practices and improvement opportunities, propose new or optimized solutions and develop execution strategies.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives by developing communications, collecting feedback to understand user pain points and identify ways to increase adoption and user satisfaction across business processes and solutions, ultimately improving the customer experience.
  • Lead or participate in multiple initiatives simultaneously, adapt to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.
  • Provide leadership to junior members through active collaboration.

Work Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) and 2 - 5+ years of relevant experience required, preferably with consultative or business process outsourcing experience in a complex business environment.
  • Prior experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is a MUST.
  • Experience with insurance policy management/administration systems is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Organizational Change Management standards and procedures.
  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions.
  • Experience handling multiple deliverables and moving adeptly between internal and external issues and interactions while meeting designated deadlines.
  • Ability to cultivate interpersonal client, partner, co-worker and executive relationships.
  • Ability to perform job duties and manage workload with limited supervision.
  • Project management skills such as defining scope, maintaining project plans and driving project teams is desirable.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take on new responsibilities
  • Demonstrating a strong work ethic and setting an example of excellence
  • Able to work in a dynamic, fast-moving company environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and handle sensitive material concerning employees, the company, company partners, and end-customer

Technical/Functional Skills:
  • Knowledge of Insurance Industry preferred, not required
  • Knowledge of Business Shared Services teams/ organization
  • Knowledge of Excel advanced functions, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables preferred
  • Process improvement integration

Location:
  • Open to remote candidates, with strong preference to be in the vicinity to one of our RT offices across the US for visibility

The target salary range for this position is $71,225.00 - $80,000.00 annually.
