We are seeking a dynamic Commodity Seafood Salesperson to join the company. This is a unique opportunity for a proven, entrepreneurial-minded leader to make a significant impact in a thriving and competitive market.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commodity Seafood Salesperson for the Texas region. This can be a fully remote position, ideal for a self-starter who thrives in an independent work environment. Reporting to the company CEO, you will be responsible for developing and managing your own book of business, focusing on commodity seafood importing and trading, primarily but not exclusively for the ethnic foodservice segment.

This role offers significant earning potential for a driven individual with a proven track record, including base salary and benefits, plus commission on realized margins.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve sales targets.
  • Identify and deliver new business opportunities in the commodity seafood market.
  • Manage existing customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and buyers.
  • Monitor market trends and analyze competitor activities.
  • Coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reports to management.
  • Stay up to date on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proactively seek and develop relationships with international suppliers and buyers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (+5 years) in seafood sales and trading, specifically within commodity trading and import (especially shrimp).

  • Strong understanding of international seafood markets and supply chains.
