Location: Las Cruces, NM / El Paso, TX
Job Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to support the accurate organization, maintenance, and release of patient records across our clinics. This role is responsible for scanning and indexing documents, processing medical records requests, maintaining confidentiality, and helping ensure records are complete, secure, and accessible to authorized staff. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with electronic medical records in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities

  • Scan, upload, index, and organize paper and electronic medical records.
  • Process and track medical records requests accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Collect and compile documentation related to patient treatment for release and audit needs.
  • Prepare and audit medical record packets for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support staff with record retrieval and other clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 12 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or customer service setting preferred.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and general office software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
