Job description

SUMMARY:
The Student Reception Assistant serves as the first point of contact for visitors, students, faculty, staff, and community members. This position provides excellent customer service, supports daily office operations, and assists with administrative tasks to ensure a welcoming and professional reception environment. The Student Reception Assistant gains valuable experience in communication, organization, customer service, and office administration.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Greet visitors and provide professional, courteous customer service.
  2. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.
  3. Assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors with basic questions and referrals to appropriate resources.
  4. Maintain the reception area in a clean, organized, and welcoming manner.
  5. Schedule appointments and reserve meeting spaces and parking spaces as needed.
  6. Monitor and distribute incoming mail, packages, and office deliveries. 
  7. Assist with data entry, filing, scanning, copying, and document preparation. Support office events, workshops, and special projects.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with university policies.
  9. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
