Job description

Dizario Search is conducting a search for a Production Planner in Lebanon, TN. This opportunity is with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a detail-oriented planner to coordinate production schedules, manage work orders, maintain inventory accuracy, and support efficient manufacturing operations. Working closely with production, customer service, and operations, this individual will play a key role in ensuring on-time production and continuous operational success.


Production Planner Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update production schedules to meet customer demand and manufacturing priorities
  • Manage production work orders within an ERP/MRP system, including releasing, updating, and closing work orders
  • Review completed work orders for accuracy, including labor, material usage, and inventory transactions
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP system updates and routine data maintenance
  • Prepare and distribute production documentation, reports, drawings, and other manufacturing-related paperwork
  • Coordinate schedule changes with production, customer service, and sales teams to support changing business needs
  • Monitor production performance and maintain reports related to schedule attainment and operational efficiency
  • Identify scheduling or production issues and recommend solutions to improve workflow and plant performance
  • Support additional production planning and administrative activities as needed

Production Planner Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination experience
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems required; SysPro experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
